π 5 Knitting Bags To Better Organize Your Projects
A while back I laid out my suggestions for what the perfect project bag might include.
And while people were very interested in this tool, I received an email about my bag choice that got me thinking.
You see I recommended a backpack style bag, to which this person said they could not use. It would put too much stress on their back and shoulders.
That's a good point, so I thought why not highlight some other bag designs that folks are falling in love with on Amazon.
So here are 5 additional bag options you might want to invest in:
MYBAGZINE Yarn Storage Organizer

If you're a sweater knitter or really love working with multiple colors, this might be the bag for you. The yarn organization holes are incredibly useful, and this bag can hold 10 full sized skeins of yarn.
The design is patent pending and it's side pocket is a great place to store some extra needles or knitting notions.
CRAFTISS Knitting Bag

This bag is reminiscent of the needles holders from the 1960s and 70s. While the design is still relatively simple, there are a few features that make this bag stand out.
First is the mini-notions bag which can be attached to the bottom of the main bag. Second is the multiple carrying straps. You can easily swing it over your shoulder if needed. And finally is the removable dividers that can be repositioned inside the bag to organize new projects.
Canvas Knitting Tote by 7 Olives Studio

This waxed canvas tote is full of useful features, including tons of internal storage, expandable top to hold big projects, and yarn guides to organize those colorwork projects.
Plus you can have it personalized for a small extra fee!
Kibaga Yarn Bag w/Needle Roll

If you want an affordable bag with lots of storage look no further. This bag can hold 6-8 skeins of yarn, had outside storage for notions, and includes a needle roll to organize your tools.

I got to meet these folks at last year's H&H Cologne tradeshow. Let me say not only are these bags beautiful, they're super clever. The way they open up allows for tons of space and easy access to your project.
Since they're 100% leather they aren't cheap, but they'll last forever.
BONUS PICK
Indigobird Li'l Knot Bag (Sewing Pattern)

If you like to sew as well as knit, you'll love this little knot bag for small projects. It can rest on your wrist and it sews up in no time at all.
A great way to keep a quick project with you at all times.

So there you have it!
There's plenty of options for your different yarn carrying needs.

Make One (M1R / M1L) Increases
One way to explore increases is through pairing them with their left and right leaning versions.
Today we're looking at the Make One increase, which uses the strand of yarn between two stitches to create a new one.
Norman from Nimble Needles will show you how.
