πŸ“š 5 Knitting mystery books to unravel this winter

We're in the middle of spring, but the weather forecast in Estonia is still rainy with a bit of chill.

So what better time to dive into a cozy murder mystery series?

Surprisingly knitting and murder go together like yarn and needles.

In fact I've uncovered over 100 knitting related mystery books in my research on this topic. There's 58 on this list alone!

Who better to band together and solve a murder than the knitting club at the local yarn store?

If you love to read and knit together, here a few suggestions that will keep you on the tips of your needles.

Craft Fair Knitters Mystery Series
by Emmie Caldwell (3 Books)

What is it?
Lia Geiger and her crafty group of Ninth Street Knitters must put down their needles to gather clues and save the crafting community they've grown to love.

It will take them all the sleuthing skills they have to untangle the threads of a dyed-in-the-wool killer.

Knitting Mystery Series
by Maggie Sefton (16 Books)

What is it?
Set at the very real Lambspun yarn store in Fort Collins, Colorado, this fictional series follows Kelly Flynn as she learns how to knit while solving murders with the store regulars.

Editor's note: I actually taught a couple classes here back in the day!

Knitorious Murder Mystery Series
by Reagan Davis (12 Books)

What is it?
Megan is a part-time employee at a local yarn store in Harmony Lake. The biggest mystery she'd ever solved was finding a missing knitting needle behind her ear she'd been looking for all morning. That is until she starts finding dead bodies in her small Canadian town.

Knit & Nibble Mystery Series
by Peggy Ehrhart (12 Books)

What is it?
Since her only daughter left for college, widow Pamela Paterson has kept busy as associate editor of a craft magazine and founder of the Knit and Nibble knitting club in quaint Arborville, New Jersey. Now, she’s trying out a new hobbyβ€”solving murders!

The Vampire Knitting Club
by Nancy Warren (15 Books)

What is it?
Lucy Swift travels to Oxford to visit her grandmother. With Gran's undying love to count on and Cardinal Woolsey's, Gran's knitting shop, to keep her busy, Lucy can catch her breath and figure out what she's going to do with her life.

Except it turns out that Gran is the undying. Or at least, the undead...

Daily Stitch

Little Butterfly Stitch

This is a different kind of dip stitch, which dips down under some slipped stitch strands and then LIFTS them up.

It's a clever technique that creates a bow or wing motif.

Simple but very effective.
