π¨ 5 Tools That Will Level Up Your Sock Knitting
We've already talked about sock yarn, but that's not the only thing you'll need to get started knitting socks.
There are a few essential tools you'll want to invest in to make sure you end up with the best socks ever.
Here are our picks for the sock knitting accessories that will make your life easier.
Why do you need it?β You're not going to finish a pair of socks in one sitting. If you don't want your stitches to fall off between knitting sessions these are a great way to keep everything together.
Why do you need it?β If you hate using double pointed needles let me introduce you to your new best friend.
It's rare that you find an innovation in knitting technology. Having a small bendable cable between two small needle shouldn't make that big a difference, but OMG. These are truly amazing.
Why do you need it?β There's lots to keep track of in a sock pattern; the beginning of the round, the divide of the toe, where to start the heel turn, etc.
A good set of stitch markers in multiple shapes and sizes (Like these from CocoKnits) are essential.
Why do you need it?β Blocking your knits is the last step of finishing any project. If you want your stitch patterns to shine you don't want to skip it. But you're going to need a sturdy frame to work with, so a sock blocker will help give your socks structure and room to breathe.
Conclusion
So there you have it.
These are our picks for some essential sock knitting tools.
