π οΈ 5 Tools to tackle chart knitting
If you haven't heard yet, we're hosting a LIVE workshop on reading knitted charts.
But knowing how to read a chart is only half the battle.
One great reason to learn to knit from charts is its much easier to track your project progress.
What is it?β A good way cheap way to mark your progress as your work through a knitting chart
Why you should own it?β Yes it is a bit DIY, but printing our your pattern and using a sticky note to cover the portion of the project you haven't worked yet is a really good, simple solution.
What is it?β This little folder uses magnets to help you track your pattern progress
Why you should own it?β It'll help you be a bit more organized than using post it notes, and the magnets are nice a long for those big pattern repeats.
What is it?β A horizontal magnifying lens with magnets on the ends
Why you should own it? βIf your eyes aren't the sharpest, this magnifier works great with a magnetic pattern holder to give you a better look at the row you're working on.
What is it?β Graph paper specially formatted to mimic the shape of knitting stitches
Why you should own it?β If you want to make your own charts by taking a written pattern and translating them, this paper uses a 4:5 ratio for the chart squares.
What is it?β A pattern tracking app for Kindle, Android, and IOS
Why you should own it?β This app is the current gold standard for knitting apps. It has a ton of bells and whistles that take reading chart patterns to another level.
