π³π΄ What is Norwegian knitting?
Yesterday I talked about different knitting styles.
However, one reader pointed out that I did not mention Norwegian knitting.
This knitting style was popularized by the dynamic knitting duo,
Arne and Carlos.
If you haven't seen their books, or enjoyed their podcast or YouTube channel, you're missing out.
They became known in the wider knitting world in 2011 with their popular book: 55 Christmas Balls to Knit.
Since then they've published many fun knitting books and are beloved for their laid back, relatable style.
So, back to Norwegian knitting.
It's essentially continental style, but using something called a Norwegian purl.
Arne and Carlos demonstrate how they knit in this video:
βIt's debatable whether Norwegian knitting is actually it's own method, but it certainly is easier than traditional continental!
But what do you think?
Have you tried Norwegian style knitting before?
